The Brook is Now America’s Largest Charity Casino
Following a multi-year, multi-million dollar expansion and remodel, The Brook is now America’s largest charity casino.
The former Seabrook Greyhound Park in Seabrook has been transformed into a 90,000 square-foot casino entertainment center.
In May, The Brook was the first casino in New England to debut historical horse racing machines. These new games feature themes very familiar to gamblers like Quick-Hits, Blazing 7’s, Wolf Run and Buffalo, but with a unique pari-mutuel connectivity that adds to the jackpot excitement and stays consistent to roots of the former race track.
The casino added legendary titles from Aristocrat Gaming, such as Buffalo Gold, Buffalo Chief, Mighty Cash Double Up Lucky Tiger, Gold Stacks 88 Dancing Foo, some of the most popular casino games.
“The Brook was built to be fun. With the addition of these new games, dining options and showroom we have all the amenities of other regional casinos in Maine and Massachusetts,” said Andre Carrier, The Brook’s CEO and creator who says he was born and raised in New England. Carrier was previously COO of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas after holding senior leadership roles at Las Vegas companies like Mirage Resorts and MGM.
“One of the things that makes the Brook really stand out is just how approachable it is. It’s very easy to get here and with our wonderful remodel and people, easy to enjoy,” Carrier says.
In addition to the casino games, The Brook is also home to the largest off-track betting facility and largest sportsbook in New England. The DraftKings Sportsbook features a 500 seat sports bar and grill with both indoor stadium and outdoor deck viewing environments, four cinema screens and more than 200 additional televisions.
“What also makes The Brook different, special, even powerful, is our ability to do good,” Carrier said.
Since 2019, The Brook has donated funds to more than 75 NH charities on a rotating basis, totaling more than $5 million.
“The Brook’s passion and enthusiasm to give back and support the children of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire has been deeply touching and impactful,” says Julie Baron, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish NH. “Because of The Brook, children in New Hampshire can find joy, hope and power in one simple wish. Their overall support of the many charities they work with shows how committed they are to truly making a difference in our community.”
The property also has a luxurious showroom and will launch its entertainment schedule of comedians, tribute bands and headliners in mid-July. In addition, The Brook has multiple meeting spaces and a new grand ballroom that can be used to host charitable fundraisers to class reunions, weddings and anniversaries, and more.
The Brook is owned by America's only 100% employee-owned resort casino company Eureka Casino Resorts. Eureka is the creation of Carrier and long time business partner Greg Lee.
“The purpose of Eureka as a company is to be a beacon and show that people and profits can not only successfully coexist, but they can thrive.” says Carrier. “The Brook is an exceptional example of the ‘Eureka Way’ as we completely revitalized an eroding business, reinventing it as a thriving employee-owned entrepreneurial venture that serves our guests, our employees and our community.”
